Blessing animals, native garden and a blood clinic reminder

St. Cuthbert’s Anglican Church blessed the animals Saturday and (top left) Reverend Ian LaFleur was warmly thanked by one dear creature for his ministering. The young lady to the right brought her friend along. Centre left, this gathering of friends at Manor Road United Church marked the presentation of the Ontario 150 Native Garden plaque to the MRUC Messy Church Youth Group. It was installed over the garden they planted last Spring. It looks like a happy event as seen below in the video from that occasion. Looking ahead, the vital public duty of giving blood is at hand. The Leaside Blood Donor clinic is Wednesday at Northlea Public School on Rumsey Road. Then a final glimpse of the successful Apple Fest weekend on Bayview Ave. Here we see four stalwarts from the pixies who look keep the street green.
