Energetic volunteers gathered outside Tufts Valu-Mart at 1500 Bayview Saturday to build 150 Thanksgiving hampers to be distributed to needy families by the Daily Bread Food Bank. Sarah, Claire and the local Leaside community were joined by co-sponsors Mike Tufts and Patrick Rocca. Mom and dad Lynda DeBono and Mark Jordan were there as usual. The barbecue of hot dogs and hamburgers, courtesy of Tufts Valu-Mart, is one of the best.
