The hockey gods were smiling on the Leaside Junior Wildcats Sunday as they sashayed into Canlan Arena at York University and thumped the league-leading Toronto Aeros 3-1. The Cats three-star alignment begins with Myah Bowal scoring two on the normally invincible Aeros. She struck twice in the third period to break the game open. It had been tied since Mackenzie Macdonald scored at 14.56 of the first for Leaside to keep them even with the Aeros. Toronto’s Teagan Grant had scored at 3.09 on a power play. The second period was scoreless and the Aeros were unable to answer Bowal’s offensive in the third. Quinn Johnston was there with assists on goals by Macdonald and Bowal. Boxscore
