There has been another case of eggs being thrown at a home as reported on the Leaside Chit-Chat Facebook account. The homeowner says security cameras at his place caught the offenders and that they are boys known to him. “Our house got egged this eve. Luckily we have surveillance cameras. The boys are known. Not the first time they have been a problem to our home. Deciding whether to tell the parents or police.” There are several responses to this post. Most people seem to feel that he should tell both the parents and the police. One member references the Ontario Parental Responsibility Act. It states that if a child causes damage and it can be proven that the parent did not exercise “reasonable supervision”, the parents can be held liable for the damage.
