It may not be your passion, but the Toronto Roller Derby League has a large loyal audience in the City. The league has teams called the Gore Gore Roller Girls, Death Track Dolls, Vipers, Snake City Bandits and Chicks Ahoy. But now they are out of a home because the auditorium at Downsview Park, long the scene of roller dramatics, will be leased out as a studio for film and move production. They called it the Bunker. It is, as league president Mina Smart says, a significant setback. No ordinary empty garage will replace it. Loyalists fear the loss of the fighting roller ladies. Look at the video from a year ago to get a sense of the competition. Let them know if you have a big gymnasium for rent.
