The Property Brothers — Jonathan and Drew Scott — will feature the home at 75 Parklea Drive on their popular program. This new home is both the first construction project and the current residence of the builder, Dhaksha Hale, her husband Allan and son Dylan, 5. Dhaksha is an enterprising woman who has followed an impressive career in finance and banking, working with firms like Price Waterhouse Cooper as well as both the TD Bank and Bank of Montreal. Rightly proud of the accomplishment, and with thanks to her husband, Dhaksha says she always straddled the world of Art and Business. Her career path led her from fine arts at York University to Business Management at Ryerson. She started Hale Property Development in late 2016. 75 Parklea Dr was purchased for her to design and build. She told The Bulldog, “I had all the flexibility and support I needed from my husband Allan Hale. A truly modern man and my biggest supporter. He believes in the entrepreneur, me and was willing to bet our savings on me. In fact he left a business and a promising career in Trinidad to be with me in Canada after 6 months of knowing me..I thought he was crazy, what a romantic”.
