53 Division statement related to security at Leaside school

Police at 53 Division have issued an alert related to a form of threat (not disclosed) to Northlea Elementary and Middle School made in recent days. The alert is published here (below) and those with a child at Northlea will probably know of the circumstances by way of letters sent home. Those who do not, or who wish to hear what other parents are saying, may look at Leaside Community Facebook or ask the administrator, Robin Hochglaube, to join. There is a very long thread there which mostly expresses concern about a man who made threats four years ago. He is mentally disturbed but it appears that he is accounted for in terms of his actions. As may be seen in the alert below, the police see no legitimate threat.
