Superintendent Mark Barkley has provided an update on the investigation into Thursday’s shooting at the Scarborough playground where two sisters were wounded. He said the girls, 5 and 9, are recovering. The getaway vehicle has been found abandoned. Supt. Barkley declined to say whether it had been stolen. He was firm about not jeopardizing future prosecutions and therefore declined many questions. He is, as seen here, grim. His manner is reflective of the outrage felt throughout the City administration and police service, as well as by the people, at the wanton disregard shown for life in this shooting.
