Police are hunting a silver Dodge Ram after a woman was struck and fatally injured at Dufferin St. and Briar Hill Ave. at around 3 p.m. Monday. The driver stopped the vehicle after the collision and approached the woman who had been struck by the vehicle. A after a brief conversation, the driver returned to the Dodge Ram pick-up truck, fled at a high rate of speed, last seen driving through a residential area The woman received life-threatening injuries, and was taken to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
TRUCK THAT CUT OFF BUS CAUSING PASSENGER DEATH
Police are also seeking a white Ford Super Cab pick up truck which cut in front of a 53 Steeles bus May 29. The bus driver had to brake and this led to the tumble of a woman passenger, 82, who has now died of her injuries. The truck carried construction-type equipment in the box or cargo area. Police are asking the 30 to 35 people who were on bus #1257 (the 53 Steeles East route) at the time, to contact investigators.
