Polls done in Canada and the US by Ipsos reveal that US citizens by and large agree with Canadians that Donald Trump is out of line in attacking this country over the Prime Minister’s resistence to tariffs. Polls done for Global News and Reuters show similar results. Global News says its poll shows 72 percent of Canadian respondents approve of how Trudeau is handling the situation. Only 14 per cent of Canadian respondents said the same about Trump. As for Americans, 57 per cent of respondents approved of how Canada is handling the dispute — while only 37 per cent said they approved of how Trump was doing.
