At 3:24 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm north of Toronto. Communities in the path included Vaughan, Richmond Hill, North York, Maple, Concord and Thornhill. Across most of Midtown however skies began to brighten as the afternoon headed into the supper hour.
