Looking souithbound on Islington (inset of motoryclist from local video)
Police are seeking dash cam and security video which might show what happened at Islington Ave. and Aylesbury Rd. Wednesday afternoon when a motorcyclist struck a pedestrian and then left the scene. The pedestrian is a woman of 81 who was crossing Islington from west to east. The motorcycle was southbound on Islington in the passing lane. It looks like a perilous crossing similar to so many outlying through roads. The woman may have gotten off a bus as she tried to make her way home. At 5.25 p.m. it seems likely the motorcyclist had his vision at least partly blocked by other rush hour traffic.
