A dog that was hit by a car near Warden and Eglinton Aves. early Sunday fled in fear under the wheels of a TTC bus and it took a lot of coaxing to get it out. The transit authority is asking anyone who might recognize the Husky-mix canine to call and claim the animal. The midnight-hour drama saw the bus driver, citizens and the driver of the car that hit the dog all trying to entice the creature from its perilous hiding spot. Brad Ross of the TTC said the bus driver called in the situation. “A supervisor showed up and police and animal control and we were all able to coax the dog out from under the bus and get (it) to a vet.” Ross said that an injury to its rear leg will heal.
