Popular vote for Mayor Tory divided by ward shows he had support of 50 percent or greater in 24 of the 25 wards which now form City Council. He fell below that in only Davenport. Support was strong through Midtown and especially in Ward 15 (Don Valley West) which led all wards Across Moore Ave. however residents in the nearby corner of Ward 11 (University Rosedale) known as Moore Park and Rosedale will no doubt see the irony of Tory’s 50.8 percent support in U-R. These precincts saw forests of Tory signs. But once again they, and other areas like Deer Park and Summerhill, were matched with neighborhoods to the west with distant political sympathies.
