MRU Rummage Sale Saturday, DPS kids join poppy kickoff

If you’re in South Bayview Saturday morning, the Manor United Church Rummage Sale is always worth a visit. Friendly people there have all kinds of things on sale. The bake table is a Bulldog favorite. At the right, this fine young man was among classmates from Davisville Public School who helped kick off poppy season at the Davisville station Friday. Below that, a sweet kitten found on Manor Rd. between Cleveland St. and Forman Ave by Leah Temerty Lord. Across the bottom from the left, a great wayback playback (in black and white) as the 1974 Leaside Lancerettes are up for induction into the Leaside Hall of Fame November 16. Then, a couple of new spots on Midtown Yonge. The Mad Radish has vegan salads and Posh Home Box some charming items. Finally, take a moment to admire these strikingly patterned orchids seen at Longo’s.
