Cops seek “erratic, dangerous” man in four east side attacks

Police are urgently seeking Jourdain Durrant, 35, of Toronto, for at least four violent incidents, three of them within a month. All have occurred in east Midtown. Incident reports cite Merrill Bridge Road Park in the Upper Beach, Danforth and Moberly Aves., Overlea Blvd. and Thorncliffe Park Drive and, back in May, Lawrence Ave. at the Don Valley Parkway. In a recent case the perpetrator accosted people wielding a sledgehammer. In another, he was reported intoxicated and produced a knife, a traffic flare and a handgun. In yet another he is said to have driven over a motorcyclist. Durrant is described as 6’0″, 192 lbs., with a slim build, blond/reddish hair, and a short blond/reddish beard. He is believed to be armed, violent, erratic and dangerous. If located, do not approach, call 9-1-1 immediately.
