Luciano’s No Frill’s store at 243 Alberta Ave. had to throw out a freezer full of food because the store lost power over Boxing Day. Social media group-think quickly turned the unfortunate loss into grocery store malevolence. People are quick to judge. At any rate, No Frills owner Loblaws told City News the obvious, which is that the food probably wasn’t safe. Toronto Public Health Spokesperson Brian Thompson added that discarded food could also be contaminated and exposed to rodents and other pests.
