Leaside Ladies Night Out raised $7,500 to start businesses

Upper left, there is much-deserved satisfaction among organizers of the Leaside Ladies Night Out last week. The evening raised $7,500, a sum that ensures the The Neighborhood Organization can help as many as six Thorncliffe Park women learn about and establish a business, develop better sewing skills and provide supplies needed to run their businesses independently. Well done all. At right, a reminder of that epic local tradition known as the Leaside Selection Invitational Tournament. It is a thrilling time for hundreds of kids and great fun to watch. Drop in over the weekend, grab a bite to eat from Andy Elder’s concession in the William Room and watch the action. Below that, are reminders of the East York Town Centre Sidewalk Sale now underway and the Davisville Public School Kindergarten Information Night, tonight at 6.30.
