Man ordered to pay WestJet $21,000 for emergency landing

A recovering alcoholic, David Stephen Young, who disrupted a WestJet flight from Calgary to London earlier this month has been ordered to pay the airline $21,000 for the cost fuel it had to dump to make a return landing at Calgary to throw him off the plane. The UK man was told he could not use the washroom during turbulence but he did so anyway and later became abusive with crew and passengers.
