Strangest family defies understanding.
A court has handed a suburban Los Angeles couple, David and Louise Turpin, a 25 year sentence for child abuse. Their crimes are difficult to comprehend on many levels. The couple forced their 13 children, ranging in age from 2 to 29, into a life of malnutrition, imprisonment, filth and ignorance. The daughter who escaped from the ordinary-looking home in 2018 did not even know the name of the street she lived on. Many will surely ask how grown sons would not rebel at such tyranny. How did Turpin, reputedly a retired aeronautical engineer, conceive such an existence for his family?
