President’s Choice Children’s Charity was shooting a public service commercial at the corner of Rumsey Rd. and Heath Rd. Sunday using rainmaking gear seldom seen, even in the rich Leaside movie-shoot experience. The PC charity funds school-based nutrition, especially breakfast, for children who need it. The commercial contains a scene of a girl in a bright yellow slicker walking to school. The isolated rain comes from a tanker truck. Water is piped to a towering rain-making crane and then sprayed wherever the director says. Staff and actors were lodged in the Trace Manes field house during the long shoot.
