Police seek flashy red Harley in hit and run injury of boy, 4

Police are hunting the operator red Harley-Davidson Road Glide motorcycle Sunday after it hit and badly injured a 4-year-old boy on Victoria Park Ave. and Adair Rd. near St. Clair East about 1:30 p.m. The matter has been the subject of a remarkable error in which the boy was said by police to be dead, but then later reported to be alive, but critically hurt. No explanation has been offered for this strange mistake. The lad was with his mother when the collision occurred. Police say the motorcyclist involved fled the scene and was last seen travelling northbound on Victoria Park. A woman passenger got off the cycle and fled on foot. She is described as white and in her 20s with blonde hair. She was wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and white running shoes The motorcycle is described as sparkly red or orange cruiser-type Harley Davidson. The driver is a white man between 40 to 50 years old. Pam Seatle of City News says it remains unclear just what happened.
