Around home this Saturday, we have a wonderful shot (upper left) from 1937 of a gentleman who attended Bessborough Public School when it was still Leaside Public School. There are posts separately by both his daughter and granddaughter. Nice. Then at upper right are two precious “baby shark do-do-dos” posted to Instagram by Shining Star Performing Arts at 852 Eglinton East. It says the “pre-k’s rocked their under-the-sea performance to mark the last day of school.” No doubt. Centre-right are some enterprising young people selling beads for charity this weekend at Davisville Park. Below that we see Leaside fireworks impresario Dave Bryant preparing for the annual show at LHS in 2017. The event goes again Monday night. At left is a slightly-sinister looking 1969 Mercedes limousine seen on Millwood Rd. on Thursday. Below that, further reminders of long-weekend fun.
