A “leaking line” of electrical current has led to the days-long closure of the westbound side of the rail underpass at Millwood Rd. and Redway Rd. with Hydro One crews working Saturday to try to “pinpoint” the offending line. If the explanation of how a hydro line leak befuddles simple reporters we may be sure the traffic horrors created by the effort to repair it has infuriated motorists. This week has seen the pileup of vehicles at all hours on Laird, Millwood and Southvale. The pavement under the closed lane is a patchwork of holes, iron plates covering holes and some holes that have been repaved. There doesn’t appear to be any way of guessing just when this might be fixed. Both lanes were open Sunday but work may resume Monday.
