Stylish window papering at 1636 Bayview Ave (the former location of Cumbrae’s) indicates that a French bakery called Bomou will open at the address. There’s a pleasant wink of the tease in the window dressing. “We’ll be home by Christmas — hopefully much sooner. Just have to clean up here first,” reads one message to those passing. “Bou-lan-ge-rie — French for bakery, Mou-lin — French for mill. Bo-Mou — Bon Baguette, French lesson over,” says another. Evidence of Bomou elsewhere was found on a Picdeer page on Instagram containing many good-looking baked products. The page is being followed by the Bayview-Leaside BIA. There is also a Facebook account under the name of Le Moulin Artisan Boulangerie. There is also an Instagram account in the name of Negar Sabzevari, “pastry chef, founder of Le Moulin Artisan Boulangerie.”
