The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) will offer free menstrual products to students in elementary and secondary school when classes resume next week. It is the initiative of two trustees, Stephanie Donaldson and Harpreet Gill. The board hopes that ready availability of the products will ensure girls attend class during their periods as well as help erase their embarrassment. The undertaking was approved unanimously by the board on Friday.
