Poll shows big Liberal lead in Ontario, Green leading NDP

A poll by Mainstreet Research has shown the Liberals with a large lead over the Conservatives in Ontario, a factor helping the government party to a smaller lead nationally. Some 1,876 Canadians participated. Nationally, they gave the Liberals 37.5 percent support compared to 34 percent for Andrew Scheer’s Conservative party. The Green party was in third with the support of 10.8 percent of decided or leaning voters while the NDP was in fourth (8.4 percent) and the People’s Party was in fifth (4.6 percent). The Bloc Quebecois, meanwhile, had the support of 15.5 percent of voters in Quebec. In Ontario, the Liberals had the support of 45.3 percent of decided or leaning voters compared to 30.4 percent for the Conservatives, 10.1 percent for the Greens and 7.5 percent for the NDP.
