Toronto Police and emergency services successfully resolved an incident in which a woman was reportedly hanging off the Leaside Bridge Wednesday late in the afternoon. At about 8 p.m. police announced the bridge had reopened. A tweet from a cyclist who passed under the bridge while the emergency unfolded said: “I was riding on the trail under the Leaside bridge when police shut it down. There was someone hanging off the bridge. It was definitely a justified interruption. I hope it was a positive outcome. Thanks for all your hard work.”
