Came home to heavy smoke, plunged inside to save things

CTV says it has been told that Nam Tu Huy Vu, 57, came home to a raging fire at his eighth floor apartment at 235 Gosford Blvd Nov. 15 and plunged into the unit to save belongings. The account comes from a friend of Vu’s who witnessed the victim disappear into the blackness. The body was found after the fire was extinguished on the apartment’s balcony. “He was with me and then he ran inside. I ran outside. That is pretty much it, said the friend. “He ran back inside to grab something and that was the last time I saw him. I don’t know what exactly he was doing inside because the smoke was too thick.
