Big dreams and high hopes have driven a consortium of monied and altruistic hockey fans to again float an idea for a second NHL team in the GTA. It seems like a long shot somehow given the absolute lock that the Maple Leafs have been able to place on competition from Hamilton. Fans in The Hammer would kill to see an NHL club. This time the Toronto promoters are calling their dream team the Toronto Legacy Aces. Organizers say they would fund a woman’s professional hockey team here as well.
