York Region invasion victim badly hurt, police seeking help

York Regional Police have released photos of a badly beaten woman who was attacked in her home in Vaughan for reasons which are still unclear. The home invaders are said to be a man and a woman, both black. The man was armed with a handgun. The victim suffered two broken orbital bones, a broken nose, a broken jaw, sprained thumb, a broken ankle and a concussion. Investigators do not have any information as to why this residence or woman would have been targeted and they believe the suspects may have had the wrong house.

401 drive-by shooting began as a bar fight say OPP

Three people are injured, one critically, after a drive-by shooting on Highway 401 in Pickering which was apparently inspired by a bar fight earlier in the night. OPP were called to the westbound lanes near Whites Road just before 4 a.m. Friday. However, police sources told 680 News four people were in the car at the time. A woman who was not injured is believed to have fled the scene on foot.
