A young victim described by police as “a boy” has died of his injuries in a shooting Monday afternoon at a service station at Markham Rd. and Ellesmere Ave. The call occurred sometime shortly after 3 p.m. The homicide squad has now taken carriage of the investigation and D/Sgt Andy Singh is speaking to media at the scene
Butcher store robberies in Eastern Ontario
OPP say there have been two large robberies of meat from rural Eastern Ontario bitcher shops early this month. The break-ins occurred in Selwyn Township and Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, both near Peterborough. The loot included steaks, chickens and other similar meats and is valued at $100,000.
