Trudeau ties illegal rail paralysis to dream of reconciliation

Canadian Press says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that there are no easy answers to the dispute over a British Columbia pipeline project that has paralyzed the national rail system. Indigenous protesters Friday continued their illegal blockade of the rails across Canada. Speaking in Munich, Mr. Trudeau recalled centuries of history during which “we have failed our Indigenous peoples.” He said all parties must move towards reconciliation. There was apparently no reference to when the government might act to restore freight and passenger service or the court decisions which have approved the pipeline. CTV
