The Ministry of Health counts 106 cases in the province for the 24-hour period ending at midnight. It is the first time the Ontario total has risen above 100 in days and is being taken by some as a precursor of a second-wave of illness. The most alarming alert came Friday as Toronto warned that as many as 550 people were exposed to the virus at the Brass Rail last week. But the City had 16 cases in Saturday’s report.
Today, Ontario is reporting 106 cases of #COVID19, a 0.3% increase with over 30,000 tests processed as our positivity rate remains low. Locally, 27 of the province’s 34 public health units are reporting five or fewer cases, with 18 of them reporting no new cases.
