Eleven charged, two sought as TPS execute large gang sweep

Police have arrested 11 people and laid 95 charges related to gun violence and drug trafficking in Thorncliffe Park and other areas. They allege these accused purposefully set out to commit violent acts against targeted individuals for the sole purpose of monetary gain and retribution. “The arrests today significantly disrupt gun and gang activity that has been jeopardizing community safety in that area and in other areas of the city,” said Superintendent Steve Watts, Organized Crime Enforcement. It was September 3 that a series of raids were conducted. Two persons remain outstanding. They are Sufyan Dadabhai, 26, of Toronto and Sadi Zalloum, 26, of Toronto. Those charged are:
