Three King St West restaurants and bars have been closed by Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health after it was found that staff, some of whom had C-19, were pressured to work while ill. MOH Dr Eileen de Villa issued orders to shut until further notice the bars known as MARBL, 455 King, King Taps, 100 King and Casa Mezcal, 291 King. A release Saturday said the health department had found “a concerning link” indicating that staff working for more than one of the businesses had C-19. It said staff had also been found to be working while ill or been pressured to work while ill.

Toronto Public Health also issued an alert to staff and patrons of the Yonge Street Warehouse at 336 Yonge St. about potential exposure to COVID-19. The period for potential exposure is September 10 to September 17. In the last few days, tests have confirmed that seven people linked to this establishment are positive for COVID-19. Five are employees and two are patrons. TPH has followed up with all known close contacts. The close contacts have been asked to self-isolate for 14 days and to go for testing.
