Two window washers have been rescued from a ledge near the top of the Canada Square building at 2180 Yonge St. Thursday after their platform fell to the ground and left one of the men dangling. He was hauled to safety on the ledge by his co-worker as seen in the dramatic picture taken by Mark Norman. The Toronto Fire Service tweeted at about 1.15 p.m. that the two men had been brought safely inside the building after a window was smashed to permit entry.

Oh my goodness. Window washers at our HQ. Their swing stage collapsed onto Yonge Street below. They’re still at the top of this building sitting on a ledge. pic.twitter.com/Dd5YoeRq6P
