Outbreak at Thorncliffe Park PS as C-19 creeps across area

The growth of C-19 infection across Toronto has been reflected in South Bayview neighborhoods. Some 463 of 1,708 cases reported in Ontario Sunday were in the City. In Thorncliffe Park, where the Toronto Interactive Map reveals 139 cases were found in the past three weeks, a new outbreak of 19 cases has been found at Thorncliffe Park Public School. The children in question are self-isolating and the school remains open. Next door, Leaside Bennington has seen the three-week tally of new cases rise to 48.

Moderna boss says Canada near front of line

The chairman of American vaccine maker Moderna says Canada is near the front of the line to receive 20 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine it pre-ordered. Noubar Afeyan offered that assessment today in an interview with CBC’s Rosemary Barton Live. Afeyan’s remarks come as the Trudeau government has come under fire this past week for its ability to deliver a timely vaccine to Canadians. 680 News/Canadian Press
