Man fires a shotgun at door and flees
Police are seeking a man who drove into the quiet residential street called Sweet Pea Path near Islington Ave and Dixon Rd. Christmas morning and used a shotgun to fire into the front door of a home. No one was hurt and the perpetrator fled in an old model Subaru Forrester.
Young policeman performs CPR, saves baby
The wonderful story of how rookie cop Ivan Yeung performed CPR on an infant on the sidewalk at University Ave. and Richmond St. in November is now being told. The 4-month old child had stopped breathing was being rushed to the Hospital for Sick Children. But his condition caused his dad to stop the car to try and help the child. It was among the best moves he will ever make. “When I got there, I saw a baby lying on the sidewalk and the fists appeared to be clenched tightly,” said Yeung. “As I got closer, I realized the chest wasn’t moving and the baby wasn’t breathing.” Longer story
