UK court says Uber drivers are “workers” not self-employed

The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom has settled a five-year action by British Uber drivers in favour of the drivers. It declares that they are worke3rs, not self-employed free agents. It is a classification separate from a full-time employee but opens up the prospect of many additional benefits.
