Metrolinx has announced it will build a large maintenance and service facility (MSF) for the Ontario Line trains on Overlea Blvd near the Thorncliffe Park Costco store and across the road from the East York Town Centre.

Metrolinx calls the new MSF “a critical component of the Ontario Line.” The chosen site is a 175,000-square metre tract. Once completed, it will become the central location for the upkeep, repair and resting place for the subway trains. Release
