Maple Leafs defeat Habs 5-1 in Game 2 at Scotiabank Arena

The Leafs tromped Montreal Saturday night winning Game 2 of their first-round series against the Habs by a commanding margin of 5 to 1. And there was good news earlier Saturday that Captain John Tavares will recover from his injuries suffered Thursday night when the Habs took a 1-0 game lead in their first-round series with the Leafs. Tavares has a knee injury as well as a concussion after being stretchered off the ice following a scary collision in Game 1 of Toronto’s first-round playoff series against Montreal. But general manager Kyle Dubas says the veteran centre avoided any structural damage to his head, neck and spine after taking an accidental knee to the face from Canadiens forward Corey Perry.
