A long-time resident, businesswoman and dear friend of many in the Bayview community has died. Hannelore Mohring passed on Tuesday. She had latterly been a member of the Bayview Pixies garden and community team. The Pixies Debora Kuchme published this tribute.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend Hannelore Mohring who peacefully passed on Tuesday June 15. Well-known for her many years as a restauranteur at the Deli-Cafe on Bayview (1961-1985) and as the grand dame of the Bayview Pixies, she was an inspiration of joy and positive life force to all who knew her. In the April 2018 issue of Leaside Life, Janis Fertuck wrote the article “Leaside’s legendary Hannelore Mohring’ where you can learn more about her long and amazing life. Sadly missed but never forgotten. The night skies will forever be brighter with her to look over us —The Bayview Pixies
