Conservatives win popular vote

The CPC won the most votes in the 2021 federal election but wasn’t able to translate that support into the most seats. Tory voters live in the wrong places to create a win in the HOC. They collected 34.1 percent of the gross ballots with the Liberals taking 31.8 percent of the total number of votes cast. That translated into 46.2 percent of the total seats for the Liberals (158 seats).
