Who is this little-known self-made friend of City’s hospitals

Toronto and its hospitals are blessed with many wealthy benefactors but few of them seem so little known as self-made millionaire Garry Hurvitz, 66. Those searching his name on the occasion of another large gift, this time to the Hospital for Sick Children, find that Mr Hurvitz doesn’t even have a Wikipedia entry. Elsewhere, he is described as a man who spent his early teen years selling promotional products like T-shirts and souvenirs at the Canadian National Exhibition. It is said he dropped out of school early and found success after starting a promotional apparel company that dates back to 1977.
