Councillor Josh Matlow wants CaféTO to look better and offer more protection for diners. We have to agree. Some restaurants have camouflaged the City’s orange cones and pylons so that you don’t really notice they’re there. But that shouldn’t be necessary. Many people chiming in on this topic on twitter have shared photos of other cities making their summer patios much safer, and more attractive. Whadda say Toronto? Background, Council Agenda Item
- Time to face the ugly truth about CaféTO patios: many are eyesores
- CaféTO’s streetside patios leave people wanting to sit inside
- People are embarrassed by the designs of Toronto’s curbside patios compared to other cities
We love CafeTO. But I’m asking for more inspiring design, and far less ugly concrete and orange cones. Let’s design a beautiful city. pic.twitter.com/80DifH9ThA
