We are in the height of Toronto’s “festival season” with many, many events happening throughout the city this weekend. ActiveTO is still on, summer construction projects continue and there are some scheduled TTC closures to watch out for, so if you’re driving, be sure to check your route. You might want to take the car to the closest gas station today as well, as gas has dropped another 6 cents.

  • Beaches International Jazz Festival – Performances will take place from Thursday to Saturday along Queen East from Woodbine to Beech avenues from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Toronto Carnival Run – The event will take place at Sir Casimir Gzowski Park on Saturday, one week before the Toronto Caribbean Carnival.
  • Festival of South Asia – Gerrard Street East, between Coxwell and Glenside Avenues Saturday and Sunday.
  • Fun Philippines Toronto Street Festival – Will take place at various venues along a one-kilometre stretch of Bathurst Street between Laurelcrest and Wilson avenues on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m until Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Taste of the Middle East Festival – Toronto’s fifth annual Taste of the Middle East Festival is returning to Nathan Phillips Square this weekend.
