People of all ages were tapping their toes and singing along to 50s and 60s rock ‘n’ roll hits with Little Peter & The Elegants on Saturday.
The UPtown Yonge BIA held their “celUpbrate Mom” event featuring deals and activities at various businesses on Yonge Street stretching from Roehampton Avenue up to Glengrove Avenue. Live music and dancing took place at the St. Clements-Yonge Parkette. Councillor Mike Colle, (Ward 8, Eglinton-Lawrence) was seen kicking up his heels with local residents. Councillor Colle and Stephanie Bowman (MPP, Don Valley West) both addressed the crowd and encouraged everyone to “Shop Local, Eat Local” and of course, “Dance Local”. We concur.
