Ramona’s Kitchen continues to work hard preparing 1608 Bayview Ave for their new restaurant. The building’s façade was recently refreshed, waiting for some new signage. Walking south and looking up to the top floor of 1578 Bayview Ave, Gold Hollow is now open for business! Safe body piercing, custom tattooing and fine body jewelry is what the sign says. You can see a 360° view of their new digs on Instagram here. At the corner of Belsize Dr., we can see that the lower level of 1560a Bayview Avenue is nearing completion. The Daughter Natural Wine Bar and Bottle Shop looks like they’re just about ready to open their doors. A peek into their windows after the sun set revealed dozens of bottles of vino ready for us to enjoy. A sign says that they’re hiring — see the picture above for details. Welcome to Bayview everyone!

New sign installed today at Bayview flower shop, Supermart

•Parpar women’s clothing is now open at 1569 Bayview Ave

•Comings and goings observed on South Bayview in May
by
•A stroll down our favourite street has revealed changes to some well known businesses. Peering through the glass, we could see the demolition of the interior space that was formerly home to Scholar’s Choice and Butter Studio. The refurbished space will make way for a “new restaurant” with a patio, according to a building permit application. Strolling south, we observed a new banner that is covering up the sign for the Bombay Snack Bar. They are now known as Charcoal Biryani at 1595 Bayview Ave. Parpar clothing is still preparing their store, with plans to open in the former location of Express Travel at 1569 Bayview Ave. Since patio season has officially begun, tables, chairs, potted plants and smiling faces are starting to fill our sidewalks. We think the electric blue patio set at La Diperie is rather eye-catching! This will be their first summer at 1559 Bayview Ave. Welcome to Bayview, Supermart and Petals (1635 Bayview Ave.) your beautiful flowers are a feast for the eyes!
Construction continues in the base of the new residential building known as The Stack, 730 Hillsdale Avenue East at Bayview. Maker Pizza and The Sweet Potato (grocery store) will be opening later in 2022.
See you on Bayview!
