Kawhi Leonard has filed a lawsuit alleging Nike filed a copyright of a logo he originally created without his permission, unbeknownst to him. Leonard says he drew the logo himself and wants to use it with a new sponsor, New Balance. But CNBC says the issue may have less to do with the law than it does with public relations.

No date has been set for the introduction of the service into Canada but this CBC report says the concept worrying Canada broadcaster, and the CRTC. Two teen girls, 13, have been struck by an older model van while crossing the street outside Agincourt Collegiate Institute Monday afternoon. Both girls are in serious to life-threatening condition, police report. It happened near or at Midland and Lockie Aves., a signalized crossing, at around 3:30 p.m. Police say the driver, a 64-year-old woman, remained on scene. They are appealing to the public for video of any kind that might confirm what occurred.

Jennifer Bundock has posted signs near her home in the Bloor and Lansdowne area asking a burglar who broke into her place last Friday to return pictures of her dog, now dead, which were contained in a camera. The appeal has been posted to social media. The poster reads: “To the man who was in my house and robbed me,” the note read. “Keep the cash, and my DSLR, and whatever else you took. But if you have the memory card from the camera, please, it has photos of my dog’s last day alive on it.”
Police are searching for John Kluck, 72, last seen on Friday at about noon near Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue. He is described as 6’2″, 200 lbs. with balding grey hair. The all-electric New Flyer bus will run on the 35 Jane route. The city will be testing out buses from New Flyer, Proterra Inc. and BYD Canada Co. Ltd. to see which is best. By 2025, the TTC says it hopes to purchase only electric buses and the goal is to have only electric vehicles in its fleet by 2040. A release said that Councillor Robinson, chair of the Transportation Committee, and Mayor Tory were present as the bus started off from the TTC Arrow Road Garage off near Sheppard Ave. and Highway 400.

City traffic engineers have rationalized the stop sign oddity which has long confused drivers and made it difficult for pedestrians to cross Southvale at either Astor Ave. or Mallory Cres. The change removes the stop at Astor for westbound traffic on Southvale and moves it to Mallory a short block to the west. There has been a stop sign for eastbound traffic at Mallory for many years. The previous arrangement made it easier for cars to turn off Astor or Mallory onto Southvale. But the absence of a stop at Astor for eastbound traffic, and at Mallory for westbound traffic, left pedestrians dodging cars at both intersections. Now all pedestrian crossings of Southvale can be made more safely at Mallory.
